ASAKUSA - SENSOJI TEMPLE (DEC. 17 - 19)
The Hagoita-Ichi (Battledore Fair) is an annual fair held in its precincts at the end of the year. Near the Hondo or main hall of Senso-ji Temple, some 50 open-air stalls selling hagoita (battledores), shuttlecocks, kites and other New Year decorations stand huddled together, and numerous people gather here from all over the country. This is a traditional fair dating back to the Edo Period, but it was apparently only after World War II that the name Hagoita-Ichi became popular. It is usually displayed in the house as a New Year’s ornament.www.jnto.go.jp/eng

City of Bones

City of Bones
by Michael Connelly
This is my first book in the Harry Bosch series. It was a gift from my friend, which I thank her everytime I meet her, for introducing such a great crime thriller to me!

Grass on the Wayside =: Michikusa: A Novel
by Natsume Sōseki
The best autobiography I've read so far!!! It's very engaging despite the slow pace. It enable me to have an insight of the culture and differences in perceptions of Japanese in the post-war era.
Echo Park

Echo Park
by Michael Connelly
The ending really caught me off-guard. I never thought the killer was the one who was right there from the beginning! Everything thing rule the killer out, and leads us elsewhere. It was a good read, higly recommended!

Lovesick Dead
by Junji Ito
This is one of the grossest Junji Ito's horror manga I have ever read. It is so gross that I get goosebumps every single time I re-read it. Junji Ito is really the master of horror manga. I am looking forward to read more of his works!
